Obstructive Sleep Apnoea

With obstructive sleep apnoea, you may snore, toss and turn and others may notice you stop breathing during your sleep. because of the disruptive effects of OSA, you may find yourself waking up during the night, often gasping for breath. Your sleep is disturbed, and you may feel unrefreshed. As the day goes on, you may struggle to stay awake.
There is strong evidence that people with untreated moderate to severe OSA, may have other health problems. These include increased risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, depression, weight gain and accidents.
Kauri Healthcare Sleep Clinic provides home sleep testing and treatment services for anyone suffering problematic snoring, or possible sleep apnoea. We offer funded (through the hospital) or private referrals for sleep apnoea assessments.
